अव्यक्त-गुण-पुरुषविवेकः | Avyakta, Guṇas, and Discrimination of Puruṣa
अक्षर: क्षरमात्मानमबुद्धिस्त्वभिमन्यते
akṣaraḥ kṣaram ātmānam abuddhis tv abhimanyate |
வசிஷ்டர் கூறினார்— அவிவேகமான புத்தி அழிவற்ற ஆத்மாவை அழிவுடையதெனத் தவறாகக் கருதுகிறது. தவம் செய்யாமலேயே தன்னைத் தவசி என எண்ணுகிறது; எங்கும் செல்லாமலேயே தன்னைச் செல்லுபவன், பயணி என நினைக்கிறது. உலகப் பிணைப்பற்றவனாக இருந்தும் தன்னை உலகியலானவன் எனக் கருதுகிறது; உண்மையில் அச்சமற்றவனாக இருந்தும் அச்சமுற்றவன் என எண்ணுகிறது. இவ்வாறு அக்ஷரனாக இருந்தும் தன்னை க்ஷரன் எனக் கருதி, புத்திக்கு அப்பாற்பட்டவனாக இருந்தும் ‘நான் புத்திமான்’ என்ற அகந்தை கொள்கிறது—இது ஆத்மமோஹத்தால் பிறந்த நெறிப்பிழை.
