सुकुमार्या कुमार्या ते तस्मादेष शपाम्यहम् । “जब आपके मनमें पहले इस सुकुमारी कुमारीके प्रति कामभावका उदय हुआ तो आपने मुझे नहीं बताया; इसलिये यह मैं आपको शाप दे रहा हूँ
sukumāryā kumāryā te tasmād eṣa śapāmy aham |
“அந்த மென்மையான இளங்கன்னியின்மேல் உன் மனத்தில் முதன்முதலாக காமவேட்கை எழுந்தபோது, நீ அதை எனக்குச் சொல்லவில்லை; ஆகவே நான் உனக்கு இச்சாபத்தை அளிக்கிறேன்.”
