यस्येह यजमानस्य यज्ञे यज्ञे पुरोहित: । सहस्रं वारणान् हैमान् दक्षिणामत्यकालयत्,“यजमान दिलीपके प्रत्येक यज्ञमें पुरोहितजी सोनेके बने हुए एक हजार हाथी दक्षिणारूपमें पाकर उन्हें अपने घर ले जाते थे
yasyeha yajamānasya yajñe yajñe purohitaḥ | sahasraṁ vāraṇān haimān dakṣiṇām atyakalayat ||
வாயு கூறினார்— அந்த யஜமானனின் ஒவ்வொரு யாகத்திலும் புரோகிதன் தக்ஷிணையாக ஆயிரம் பொன் யானைகளைப் பெற்று, அவற்றைத் தன் இல்லத்திற்குக் கொண்டு சென்றான்.
