Adhyāya 287 — Janaka’s Inquiry on Śreyas, Abhayadāna, and Asaṅga

तेषां तेषां यथा हि त्वमाश्रमाणां ततस्ततः । नानारूपगुणोद्देशं पश्य विप्र स्थितं पृथक्
teṣāṃ teṣāṃ yathā hi tvam āśramāṇāṃ tatastataḥ | nānārūpaguṇoddeśaṃ paśya vipra sthitaṃ pṛthak ||
ஓ பிராமணனே, ஒவ்வொரு ஆசிரமத்தையும் முறையே எண்ணிப் பார்த்து, பல்வேறு வடிவங்களும் குணங்களும் கொண்ட தர்ம உபதேசங்கள் எவ்வாறு தனித்தனி அடிப்படையில் நிலைத்திருக்கின்றன என்பதைத் தெளிவாகக் காண்ந்து உணர்க.
