अध्याय २८१ — दानधर्मः, न्यायागतधनम्, ऋणत्रय-परिशोधनं च

Dāna ethics, lawful wealth, and settling obligations

भीष्म उवाच तथेति तां प्राह तदा ब्रह्म॒वध्यां पितामह: । उपायत: स शक्रस्य ब्रह्म॒वध्यां व्यपोहत

bhīṣma uvāca | tatheti tāṁ prāha tadā brahmavadhyāṁ pitāmahaḥ | upāyataḥ sa śakrasya brahmavadhyāṁ vyapohat |

பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—“அப்படியே ஆகட்டும்.” அப்போது பிதாமகர் பிரம்மா, பிரம்மஹத்தியாக உருவெடுத்த (பிரம்மவத்யா) அவளிடம்—“நன்று; உனக்கொரு வாசஸ்தலத்தை நான் ஏற்பாடு செய்கிறேன்” என்று சொல்லி, யுக்தியால் சக்கிரன் (இந்திரன்) மீது பற்றியிருந்த பிரம்மஹத்தியை அகற்றினார்.
