अन्यत्र तर्कशास्त्रेभ्य आगमार्थ यथागमम् । मेरे मनमें एक भयानक संशय उठ खड़ा हुआ है
anyatra tarkaśāstrebhya āgamārthaṃ yathāgamam |
கபிலன் கூறினான்—வாதநூல்களை ஒதுக்கி வைத்து, ஆகமத்தின் பொருளை ஆகமத்தின் வழியிலேயே விளக்குங்கள். என் மனத்தில் ஒரு பயங்கரமான சந்தேகம் எழுந்துள்ளது; அதை நீங்களே நீக்க முடியும். நீங்கள் சொன்னீர்கள்: சன்மார்க்கத்தில் நிலைத்து இங்கேயே, இவ்வாழ்விலேயே, யோகமார்க்கத்தின் பலனை நேரடியாகக் காணலாம் என்று. நான் கேட்கிறேன்—நீங்கள் வழிபடும் அதற்கான இவ்வாழ்விலேயே மிகத் தெளிவாக, நேரடியாக அனுபவிக்கக்கூடிய பலன் என்ன? வாதத்தைச் சாராமல் அதை நிறுவுங்கள்; அப்பொழுது நான் ஆகமத்தின் நோக்கத்தை உண்மையாக அறிய முடியும்.
