मोक्षोपाय-निर्णयः
Determination of the Means to Liberation
न मूलघात: कर्तव्यो नैष धर्म: सनातन: । अपि स्वल्पवधेनैव प्रायश्षित्तं विधीयते
dyumatsena uvāca |
na mūlaghātaḥ kartavyo naiṣa dharmaḥ sanātanaḥ |
api svalpavadhenaiva prāyaścittaṃ vidhīyate ||
த்யுமத்சேனன் கூறினான்—வேர் அறுப்பது, முழு அழிப்பை நாடுவது செய்யக் கூடாது; அது சனாதன தர்மம் அல்ல. குற்றத்திற்கேற்ப இலகு தண்டனையாலேயே பிராயச்சித்தம் நிறைவேறும்; அதனால் பாவம் குறையும்.
