अथान्तरिक्षे वागासीत्‌ तां च शुश्राव जाजलि: । धर्मेण न समस्त्वं वै तुलाधारस्य जाजले

Transliteration

athāntarikṣe vāg āsīt tāṃ ca śuśrāva jājaliḥ | dharmeṇa na samas tvaṃ vai tulādhārasya jājale ||

Translation

அப்போது ஆகாயத்தில் ஒரு குரல் எழுந்தது; அதை ஜாஜலி கேட்டான்—“ஓ ஜாஜலீ! தர்மத்தில் நீ துலாதாரனுக்கு இணையானவன் அல்ல. காசியில் பேரறிவுடைய வைசியன் துலாதாரன் வாழ்கிறான்; ஓ பிராமணச் சிறந்தவனே! நீ சொல்வதுபோல் துலாதாரனும் சொல்லமாட்டான்.”
