Yudhiṣṭhira uvāca: ime vai mānavāḥ sarve dharmaṃ prati viśaṅkitāḥ | ko ’yaṃ dharmaḥ kuto dharmas tan me brūhi pitāmaha ||
யுதிஷ்டிரன் கூறினான்—பிதாமஹரே! மனிதர்கள் அனைவரும் தர்மம் குறித்து ஐயத்தில் ஆழ்ந்துள்ளனர். இந்த தர்மம் உண்மையில் என்ன? தர்மம் எங்கிருந்து தோன்றியது? அதை எனக்குச் சொல்லுங்கள்.
