Tulādhāra’s Instruction to Jājali on Ahiṃsā and Abhaya-dāna
दीप्तानलनिभ: प्राह भगवान् धूमवर्चसे । ततो5हमपि वक्ष्यामि भूय: पुत्र निदर्शनम्
dīptānalanibhaḥ prāha bhagavān dhūmavarcasaḥ | tato 'ham api vakṣyāmi bhūyaḥ putra nidarśanam, vatsa |
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—எரியும் தீயைப் போல் ஒளிமிக்கவராகவும், புகைநிறத் தோற்றமுடையவராகவும் இருந்த பகவான் (வ்யாசர்) தூமவர்ச்சஸன் (சுகன்) முன்னிலையில் இவ்வாறு உரைத்தார். ஆகவே, மகனே, அந்த உவமையையும் அதன் பொருளையும் நான் மீண்டும் உனக்குச் சொல்கிறேன்; உறுதியாக நிலைபெற்ற இந்த விவேகப் போதனையை கவனமாகக் கேள்.
