Adhyāya 249 — Mṛtyu-prādurbhāvaḥ (The Manifestation of Death) / Restraint of Tejas and Ordered Saṃhāra
व्यास उवाच धर्म ते सम्प्रवक्ष्यामि पुराणमृषिभि: कृतम् । विशिष्ट सर्वधर्मेभ्यस्तमिहैकमना: शूणु
vyāsa uvāca | dharmaṁ te sampravakṣyāmi purāṇam ṛṣibhiḥ kṛtam | viśiṣṭaṁ sarva-dharmebhyaḥ tam ihaika-manāḥ śṛṇu |
வியாசர் கூறினார்—மகனே! முனிவர்கள் இயற்றி வழிவழியாக வழங்கிய அந்தப் பழம்பெரும் தர்மத்தை நான் உனக்கு விளக்குகிறேன். அது எல்லாத் தர்மங்களிலும் சிறந்தது; ஆகவே ஒருமுக மனத்துடன் இங்கே கேள்.
