अधर्मान्त्हिता वेदा वेदधर्मास्तथा55 श्रमा: । विक्रियन्ते स्वधर्मस्था: स्थावराणि चराणि च
adharmāntarhitā vedā vedadharmās tathāśramāḥ | vikriyante svadharmasthāḥ sthāvarāṇi carāṇi ca ||
வியாசர் கூறினார்—அதர்மம் மேலோங்கும்போது வேதங்கள் மறைந்ததுபோல் ஆகின்றன; வேததர்மமும் ஆசிரமதர்மமும் மறைக்கப்படுகின்றன. அப்போது ஸ்வதர்மத்தில் நிலைபெறும் அசைவற்றதும் அசையும் உயிர்களும் தர்மத்திலிருந்து விலகி விகாரமடைகின்றன; எங்கும் குழப்பம் பரவுகிறது.
