- वैवस्वत मन्वन्तरको आठ भागोंमें विभक्त करके जब अन्तिम आठवाँ भाग व्यतीत होने लगेगा
Bhīṣma uvāca | atraivodāharantīmam itihāsaṁ purātanam | śatakratoś ca saṁvādaṁ namuceś ca yudhiṣṭhira ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—யுதிஷ்டிரா! இதே தொடர்பில் அறிஞர்கள் ஒரு பழமையான இதிகாச நிகழ்வை எடுத்துரைப்பர்—சதக்ரது (இந்திரன்) மற்றும் நமுசி ஆகியோரின் உரையாடலை.
