The Dialogue of Indra and Bali on Fortune, Humility, and Restraint
एवं हि तपसा युक्तमर्कवत् तमस: परम् | त्रैलोक्यप्रकृतिर्देही तमसो<न््ते महेश्वर:
evaṁ hi tapasā yuktam arkavat tamasaḥ param | trailokya-prakṛtir dehī tamaso 'nte maheśvaraḥ ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—தவத்தால் கட்டுப்படுத்தப்பட்ட மனம் அறியாமையின் இருளைத் தாண்டி, சூரியனைப் போல ஞானமய ஒளியால் பிரகாசிக்கிறது. மூன்று உலகங்களுக்கும் காரணமாகிய உடலுடை உயிர் பிரம்மமே; அந்த இருள் நீங்கிய பின் அது தூய பரமாத்மா—மஹேஸ்வரன்—என நிலைபெறுகிறது.
