तस्मादेतत् प्रयत्नेन कौन्तेय प्रतिपालय । यो हि राज्ये स्थित: शश्वद् वशी तुल्यप्रियाप्रिय:
tasmādetat prayatnena kaunteya pratipālaya | yo hi rājye sthitaḥ śaśvad vaśī tulyapriyāpriyaḥ ||
ஆகையால், கௌந்தேயா, இதனை முயற்சியுடன் காத்து நிலைநிறுத்து. அரசாட்சியில் நிலைத்திருப்பவன் எப்போதும் தன்னை அடக்கி, இனிமையும் இனிமையல்லாததுமாகிய இரண்டினிடத்தும் சமநிலையுடன் இருக்க வேண்டும்.
