दशानां तनयस्त्वेको दक्षो नाम प्रजापति: । तस्य द्वे नामनी लोके दक्ष: क इति चोच्यते,उन दसोंके एकमात्र पुत्र दक्ष नामसे प्रसिद्ध प्रजापति हैं। उनके दो नाम बताये जाते हैं --'दक्ष' और “क'
daśānāṃ tanayas tv eko dakṣo nāma prajāpatiḥ | tasya dve nāmanī loke dakṣaḥ ka iti cocyate ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—அந்த பத்தினருக்கும் ஒரே மகன் இருந்தான்; ‘தக்ஷ’ எனப்படும் பிரஜாபதி. உலகில் அவன் இரண்டு பெயர்களால் அழைக்கப்படுகிறான்—‘தக்ஷ’ என்றும் ‘க’ என்றும்.
