अध्याय २०८ — इन्द्रियनिग्रहः, सत्याहिंसात्मकवाक्, कर्मफलविवेकः
Restraint of the Senses, Non-harming Truthful Speech, and Discernment of Karmic Consequence
प्रजामाचक्षते विप्रा: पुराणा: शाशबिन्दवीम् | स वृष्णिवंशप्रभवो महावंश: प्रजापते:
prajām ācakṣate viprāḥ purāṇāḥ śaśabindavīm | sa vṛṣṇivaṁśa-prabhavo mahāvaṁśaḥ prajāpateḥ ||
பழங்காலப் பிராமண முனிவர்கள் மக்களின் தோற்றம் சசபிந்து முதலே எனக் கூறுகின்றனர். பிரஜாபதியின் அந்த மகாவம்சமே பின்னர் புகழ்பெற்ற வ்ருஷ்ணி வம்சத்தின் தோற்றமாக அமைந்தது.
