अद्यैक॑ दिवसं विप्रा न वो5स्तीह भयं क्वचित् | राक्षसे भ्य: प्रमोदध्वमिष्टतो यात माचिरम्
adyaikaṁ divasaṁ viprā na vo ’stīha bhayaṁ kvacit | rākṣasebhyaḥ pramodadhvam iṣṭato yāta mā ciram, rājan |
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்— “ஓ பிராமணர்களே! இன்று—இந்த ஒரே நாளில்—இங்கு ராட்சசர்களால் உங்களுக்கு எங்கும் அச்சம் இல்லை. ஆகவே மகிழ்ந்து, விரும்பிய இடத்திற்குத் துரிதமாகச் செல்லுங்கள்; தாமதிக்காதீர்கள், அரசே।”
