On Gratitude and Friendship Ethics
भीष्म उवाच तत्त्वं शृणुष्व माद्रेय यदेतत् परिपृच्छसि । प्रबोधितो5स्मि भवता धातुमानिव पर्वत:
bhīṣma uvāca tattvaṃ śṛṇuṣva mādreya yad etat paripṛcchasi | prabodhito 'smi bhavatā dhātumān iva parvataḥ ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—மாத்ரேயா! நீ கேட்கும் இவ்வினாவின் தத்துவத்தை கேள். நான் இரத்தத்தில் நனைந்து, செம்மண் தாதுவால் நிறமூட்டப்பட்ட மலைபோல் அசைவற்றுக் கிடந்தேன்; ஆனால் உன் கேள்வியே என்னை விழித்தெழச் செய்தது.
