कालो हेतुं विकुरुते स्वार्थस्तमनुवर्तते
kālo hetuṁ vikurute svārthas tam anuvartate |
காலம் காரணங்களின் வடிவத்தையே மாற்றிவிடுகிறது; சுயநலம் அந்த மாறும் காலத்தையே தொடர்ந்து செல்கிறது. ஞானி அந்தச் சுயநலத்தைத் தெளிவாக அறிகிறான்; சாதாரண மக்கள் ஞானியையே பின்தொடர்கிறார்கள். ஆகவே, நான் நோக்கங்களையும் சுயநலத்தையும் அறிதலில் தேர்ந்தவன் என்பதால், நீ என்னிடம் இவ்வாறு பேசக் கூடாது.
