संधातव्यं बुधैर्नित्यं व्यवस्य च हितार्थिभि: । अमिन्रैरपि संधेयं प्राणा रक्ष्या हि भारत

Transliteration

sandhātavyaṁ budhair nityaṁ vyavasya ca hitārthibhiḥ | amitrair api sandheyaṁ prāṇā rakṣyā hi bhārata ||

Translation

பாரதா! நன்மையை நாடும் அறிவுடையோர் உறுதியாகத் தீர்மானித்து எப்போதும் சமாதானம்/ஒப்பந்தம் செய்ய வேண்டும்; அவசியம் வந்தால் பகைவருடனும் சமாதானம் செய்யலாம்—ஏனெனில் உயிர் காப்பது எந்நாளும் கடமையே.
