आपद्धर्मे राज्ञः नीतिः — Bharadvāja’s Counsel on Crisis-Statecraft (Śānti Parva 138)
अथ सम्प्रतिपत्तिज्ञ: प्राब्रवीद् दीर्घदर्शिनम् । प्राप्ते काले न मे किंचिन्न्यायत: परिहास्यते
atha sampratipattijñaḥ prābravīd dīrghadarśinam | prāpte kāle na me kiñcin nyāyataḥ parihāsyate ||
அப்போது நியாயத் தீர்மானத்தில் தேர்ந்தவன், தொலைநோக்குடையவனை நோக்கி கூறினான்—“நண்பா! உரிய காலம் வந்தால், நீதியின் வழியில் பொருத்தமான வழிமுறையை என் அறிவு கண்டுபிடிக்கத் தவறாது; தர்மத்திற்கேற்றது எதுவும் எனக்குத் தவறுவதில்லை.”
