हीनकोशं॑ हि राजानमवजानन्ति मानवा: । न चास्याल्पेन तुष्यन्ति कार्यमप्युत्सहन्ति च
hīna-kośaṁ hi rājānam avajānanti mānavāḥ | na cāsyālpena tuṣyanti kāryam apy utsahanti ca ||
கருவூலம் குறைந்த அரசனை மக்கள் இகழ்கின்றனர். அவனிடமிருந்து சிறிதளவு பெற்றால் அவர்கள் திருப்தியடைவதில்லை; அவனுடைய பணிகளைச் செய்யவும் உற்சாகம் காட்டுவதில்லை.
