Nakula’s Counsel on Yajña, Dāna, and Tyāga (नकुलोपदेशः—यज्ञदानत्यागविचारः)
ब्राह्मणा:श्रुतिसम्पन्नास्तानू निबोध नराधिप | यह गृहस्थ-आश्रम सब आश्रमोंसे ऊँचा है। यह बात वेदोंके सिद्धान्तको जाननेवाले श्रुतिसम्पन्न ब्राह्मण कहते हैं। नरेश्वरर आप उनकी सेवामें उपस्थित होकर इस बातको समझिये
brāhmaṇāḥ śrutisampannās tānū nibodha narādhipa | yaḥ gṛhasthāśramaḥ sarvāśramebhya ūrdhvaḥ | etad vedasiddhāntajñāḥ śrutisampannā brāhmaṇā vadanti | nareśvara, teṣāṃ sevāyāṃ upasthitaḥ san etad avagaccha ||
நகுலன் கூறினான்—ஓ நராதிபா! வேதக் கல்வியில் நிறைந்த பிராமணர்களிடமிருந்து இதை அறிந்துகொள். இல்லற ஆசிரமமே எல்லா ஆசிரமங்களிலும் உயர்ந்ததாகக் கருதப்படுகிறது. வேதங்களின் நிலைபெற்ற முடிவுகளை அறிந்த, வேதப் பயிற்சியில் நிறைந்த பிராமணர்கள் இதையே அறிவிக்கின்றனர். ஆகவே, ஓ மனிதரின் ஆண்டவனே! அவர்களுக்கு சேவை செய்து இந்த உண்மையை உணர்க.
