ततः श्वा द्वीपितां नीतो जाम्बूनदनिभाकृति: । चित्राड़ो विस्फुरदंष्टो वने वसति निर्भय:
tataḥ śvā dvīpitāṃ nīto jāmbūnadanibhākṛtiḥ | citrāḍo visphuraddaṃṣṭo vane vasati nirbhayaḥ ||
அதன்பின் அந்த நாய் சிறுத்தையாக மாற்றப்பட்டது. அதன் உருவம் ஜாம்பூநதத் தங்கம் போல் ஒளிர்ந்தது; உடல் புள்ளிப்புள்ளியாக மாறியது; பெரிய கோரப்பற்கள் மின்னின. அவ்வாறு மாற்றமடைந்து, அது அச்சமின்றி காட்டில் வாழ்ந்தது.
