ततो<भ्ययान्महावीर्यों द्वीपी क्षजभोजन: । स्वार्थमत्यन्तसंतुष्ट: क्रूरकाल इवान्तक:
tato 'bhyayān mahāvīryo dvīpī kṣajabhojanaḥ | svārtham atyantasaṃtuṣṭaḥ krūrakāla ivāntakaḥ ||
பின்னர் ஒருநாள் மிகுந்த வலிமையுடைய, மாம்சம் உண்ணும் சிறுத்தை, தன் இலாபத்தில் பேரானந்தம் கொண்டு, அந்த நாயைப் பிடிக்க அத்திசையில் பாய்ந்து வந்தது—கொடுங்காலம் போல, மரணம் போல.
