मातापितृगुरुपूजा-प्रशंसा
Praise of Venerating Mother, Father, and Teacher
नैतानतिशयेज्जातु नात्यश्रीयान्न दूषयेत्
na etān atiśayej jātu nātyaśrīyān na dūṣayet |
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—“இந்த மூவரையும் எப்போதும் மிஞ்சிவிட வேண்டும் என்று முயலாதே; அவர்களை இகழாதே, பழிக்காதே. அவர்களின் ஆணையை மீறாதே; முதலில் அவர்களுக்கு உணவு அளித்த பின்பே நீ உண்பாய்; அவர்கள்மீது குற்றம் சுமத்தாதே; என்றும் அவர்களின் சேவையில் ஈடுபட்டு இரு. இதுவே மிகச் சிறந்த புண்ணியச் செயல். ஓ அரசர்களில் சிறந்தவனே! அவர்களைச் சேவிப்பதால் நீ புகழ், தூய நற்பெயர், மற்றும் உயர்ந்த உலகங்கள்—அனைத்தையும் பெறுவாய்.”
