Gaṇānāṃ Vṛttiḥ — On the Sustenance and Cohesion of Assemblies
Gaṇa-nīti
तत्रादानेन भिद्यन्ते गणा: संघातवृत्तय: । भिन्ना विमनस: सर्वे गच्छन्त्यरिवशं भयात्
tatrādānena bhidyante gaṇāḥ saṅghātavṛttayaḥ | bhinnā vimanasaḥ sarve gacchanty arivaśaṃ bhayāt ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்— ஒன்றிணைந்து வாழ்வை நடத்தும் கணங்கள்கூட உரிய காலத்தில் வழங்கல் (உணவு, ஊதியம் முதலியவை) கிடைக்காவிட்டால் பிளவுபடுகின்றன. பிளவுபட்ட பின் அனைவரும் மனம் தளர்ந்து, ஒருவருக்கொருவர் எதிரிகளாகி, அச்சத்தால் பகைவரின் ஆட்சிக்குள் விழுகின்றனர்.
