उपायधर्म-सेनायोगः
Upāya-dharma and Senāyoga: Expedient Ethics & Army Deployment
वहाँ व्यूह निर्माण करनेके लिये रथ और वाहनोंसे उतरना तथा पैदल सैनिकोंको छिपाकर रखना सम्भव है। वहाँ रहकर शत्रुओंके प्रहारका जवाब दिया जा सकता है और आपत्तिके समय छिप जानेका भी सुभीता रहता है ।।
saptarṣīn pṛṣṭhataḥ kṛtvā yudhyeyur acalā iva | anena vidhinā śatrūn jigīṣetāpi durjayān ||
அங்கே படைவரிசை அமைப்பதற்காக ரதங்களிலும் வாகனங்களிலும் இருந்து இறங்கி, காலாட் படையினரை மறைத்து வைத்தலும் இயலும். அங்கேயே இருந்து பகைவரின் தாக்குதலுக்கு பதிலடி கொடுக்கலாம்; அவசரநேரத்தில் ஒளிந்துகொள்ளவும் வசதி உண்டு. வீரர்கள் சப்தரிஷிகளைப் பின்னால் பாதுகாப்பாக வைத்துக் கொண்டு, மலைபோல் அசையாமல் நின்று போரிட வேண்டும். இவ்விதத்தால் தாக்குதல் நடத்தும் அரசன், வெல்லக் கடினமான பகைவரையும் வெல்லும் நம்பிக்கையைப் பெறலாம்।
