उपायधर्म-सेनायोगः
Upāya-dharma and Senāyoga: Expedient Ethics & Army Deployment
बहुभिग्गुणजातैश्व ये युद्धकुशला जना: । उपन्यासो भवेत् तत्र बलानां नातिदूरत:
bahubhir guṇajātaiś ca ye yuddhakuśalā janāḥ | upanyāso bhavet tatra balānāṃ nātidūrataḥ ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்— போரில் தேர்ந்தவரும் நிலத்தின் பல நடைமுறை நன்மைகளை அறிந்தவரும், திறந்த சமவெளியைவிட காடருகிலுள்ள இடமே படைவீடு அமைக்க அதிக பயனுள்ளதாகக் கருதுவர். ஆகவே, பகைவரின் தாக்குதலைத் தடுக்கத் தயாரும் வசதியும் இருக்கும்படி அந்தக் காடிலிருந்து மிகத் தொலைவில் அல்லாத இடத்தில் படைத்தங்கல் அமைக்கப்பட வேண்டும்।
