ऋषिसमागमः — युधिष्ठिरस्य शोकवर्णनम्

कुन्त्या हि सदृशौ पादौ कर्णस्येति मतिर्मम । सादृश्यहेतुमन्विच्छन् पृथायास्तस्य चैव ह
kuntyā hi sadṛśau pādau karṇasyeti matir mama | sādṛśya-hetum anvicchan pṛthāyās tasya caiva ha ||
யுதிஷ்டிரன் கூறினான்— “என் எண்ணத்தில் கர்ணனின் பாதங்கள் குந்தியின் பாதங்களை ஒத்திருக்கின்றன. அந்த ஒற்றுமையின் காரணத்தைத் தேடி, ப்ருதா (குந்தி) மற்றும் அவனுக்கிடையிலான தொடர்பை நான் விசாரிக்கத் தொடங்கினேன்.”
