पाण्डुभ्य: प्रार्थ्मानो5पि पित्र्यमंशं न दत्तवान् | “विदुर, द्रोणाचार्य, कृपाचार्य, भीष्म तथा सूंजयोंके बारंबार प्रार्थना करनेपर भी इसने पाण्डवोंको उनका पैतृक भाग नहीं दिया
pāṇḍubhyaḥ prārthyamāno 'pi pitryam aṁśaṁ na dattavān |
சஞ்சயன் கூறினான்: பாண்டவர்களுக்காக மீண்டும் மீண்டும் வேண்டப்பட்டும், அவர்களுக்குரிய பித்ரார்ஜித நியாயமான பங்கினை அவன் வழங்கவில்லை. விதுரர், துரோணர், கிருபர், பீஷ்மர், சஞ்சயன் ஆகியோர் பலமுறை மன்றாடியபோதும், பாண்டவர்களின் தர்மசம்மத உரிமையை அவன் மறுத்தான்।
