नद्यश्न सुमहावेगा: प्रतिस्रोतोवहा भवन् । नृपश्रेष्ठी तालाबों और कूपोंमें रक्तका उफान आने लगा और महान् वेगशालिनी नदियाँ उलटी अपने उद्गमकी ओर बहने लगीं
nadyas tu sumahāvegāḥ pratisrotovahā bhavan |
அரசர்களில் சிறந்தவனே! குளங்களிலும் கிணறுகளிலும் இரத்தம் பொங்கி எழுந்தது; பெருவேகமாய் ஓடிய நதிகள் தம் ஓட்டத்திற்கு எதிராகத் திரும்பி தம் ஊற்றுகளின் நோக்கி பாயத் தொடங்கின.
