ततो<पवाहितं दृष्टवा वसिष्ठमृषिसत्तमम्
tato ’pavāhitaṃ dṛṣṭvā vasiṣṭham ṛṣisattamam | śoṇitaṃ vaha kalyāṇi rakṣogrāmaṇisammatam ||
அப்போது தலைசிறந்த முனிவர் வசிஷ்டரை மீண்டும் தன்னிடமிருந்து விலகி ஓடிச் செல்லக் கண்ட விஸ்வாமித்ரர், துயரத்தில் மிகக் கோபமுற்று கூறினார்—“மங்களமயமானவளே, நதிகளில் சிறந்த சரஸ்வதியே! என்னை ஏமாற்றி மீண்டும் விலகிச் சென்றாய்; ஆகவே இனி நீர் அல்ல, இரத்தமே ஓடட்டும்—அது ராட்சசத் தலைவர்களுக்கு இனியது.”
