त्रैलोक्यविजये युक्ता यथा दैतेयदानवा: । वे शूरवीर कौरव-सैनिक रथमें लगे हुए किंकिणी-समूहसे आच्छादित हो तीनों लोकोंपर विजय पानेके लिये उद्यत हुए दैत्यों और दानवोंके समान सुशोभित होते थे ।। आगम्य सहसा केचिद् रथै: स्वर्णविभूषितै:
trailokyavijaye yuktā yathā daiteyadānavāḥ | te śūravīrāḥ kaurava-sainikā rathameṃ lage huye kiṅkiṇī-samūhena ācchāditāḥ trīṃl lokānpar vijaya pāne ke liye udyat huye daityoṃ aur dānavoṃ ke samān suśobhita hote the || āgamya sahasā kecid rathaiḥ svarṇavibhūṣitaiḥ |
அந்த வீர கௌரவர், ரதங்களில் தொங்கிய கிங்கிணி மணிக்கூட்டங்களால் மூடப்பட்டு, மூவுலகையும் வெல்லத் துணிந்த தைத்யர்‑தானவர்கள் போலப் பொலிந்தனர். அப்போது திடீரென சிலர் பொன்னால் அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்ட ரதங்களில் முன்னே வந்தனர்।
