एते विनिहता: सर्वे प्रस्कन्ना: पाण्डवाहिनीम् । दुर्योधनने कहा--मैंने पहले ही इन्हें बहुत मना किया था, परंतु इन लोगोंने मेरी बात नहीं मानी और पाण्डवसेनामें घुसकर ये प्राय: सब-के-सब मारे गये ।। शकुनिरुवाच न भर्तु: शासन वीरा रणे कुर्वन्त्यमर्षिता:
ete vinihatāḥ sarve praskannāḥ pāṇḍavāhinīm |
துரியோதனன் கூறினான்—“இவர்கள் அனைவரும் பாண்டவர் படைக்குள் பாய்ந்து நுழைந்தனர்; ஆகவே இவர்கள் எல்லாரும் கொல்லப்பட்டனர். முன்பே நான் கடுமையாக எச்சரித்தேன்; ஆனால் அவர்கள் என் அறிவுரையை ஏற்கவில்லை.” சகுனி சொன்னான்—“கோபம் கொண்ட வீரர்கள் போர்க்களத்தில் தலைவனின் கட்டளையைப் பின்பற்றார்.”
