यज्जित्वा तप्यते पश्चादापन्न इव दुर्मति: । कथं मन्येत विजयं ततो जिततर: परै:
Translation
எந்த வெற்றியைப் பெற்ற பின் துர்மதி மனிதன், துன்பத்தில் அகப்பட்டவனைப் போலக் காய்ந்து வருந்தி பின்வருத்தம் கொள்கிறானோ, அவன் அதை வெற்றி என்று எவ்வாறு எண்ணுவான்? ஏனெனில் அந்நிலையில் அவன் பகைவரால் இன்னும் அதிகமாகவே வெல்லப்பட்டவன்.
