ते त्वास्थाय रथान् सर्वे बहुशस्त्रपरिच्छदान् । अभिष्नन्तो रथव्रातान् सेनायोगाय निर्ययु:,वे सब लोग अनेक शस्त्र आदि सामग्रियोंसे सम्पन्न रथोंपर बैठकर शत्रुपक्षके रथियोंका संहार करनेके उद्देश्यसे सेना एकत्र करनेके लिये गये हैं
te tv āsthāya rathān sarve bahuśastra-paricchadān | abhiṣṇanto rathavrātān senāyogāya niryayuḥ ||
பின்னர் அவர்கள் அனைவரும் பல ஆயுதங்களும் உபகரணங்களும் நிறைந்த ரதங்களில் ஏறினர். எதிரணியின் ரதவீரர் கூட்டத்தைத் தாக்கி அழிக்க வேண்டும் என்ற நோக்குடன், சேனையைச் சேர்த்து ஒழுங்குபடுத்தப் புறப்பட்டனர்.
