स्वर्गद्वारं दीव्यतां नो विशिष्ट तद्धर्तिनां चापि तथैव युक्तम् । भवेदेवं हात्मना तुल्यमेव दुरोदरं पाण्डवैस्त्वं कुरुष्व
svargadvāraṁ dīvyatāṁ no viśiṣṭa taddhartināṁ cāpi tathaiva yuktam | bhaved evaṁ hātmanā tulyam eva durūdaraṁ pāṇḍavais tvaṁ kuruṣva ||
துரியோதனன் கூறினான்—மிகச் சிறந்தவரே! எங்களுக்குப் இந்த சூதாட்டம் விண்ணின் வாசல்போல்; அந்த விதியைத் தாங்கி நிற்போருக்கும் அதற்கேற்ற நடத்தை உரியது. ஆகவே அப்படியே ஆகட்டும்—சமமான நிபந்தனைகளில், எந்தச் சலுகையும் இன்றி. பாண்டவர்களுடன் நியாயமாக சூதாட்டத்தை ஏற்பாடு செய்யுங்கள்.
