अर्हणनिर्णयः
Decision on the Highest Honor at the Assembly
समेता ब्रह्मभवने देवा देवर्षयस्तथा । कर्मान्तरमुपासन्तो जजल्पुरमितौजस:
vaiśampāyana uvāca | sametā brahmabhavane devā devarṣayas tathā | karmāntaram upāsanto jajalpūr amitaujasaḥ ||
வைசம்பாயனர் கூறினார்—பிரம்மாவின் திவ்ய சபைமண்டபத்தில் தேவர்கள் மற்றும் தேவரிஷிகள் ஒன்று கூடியிருந்தனர். யாகக் கிரியைகளின் தொடரில் இடையிடையே ஓய்வு கிடைக்கையில் அளவற்ற ஒளியுடைய பண்டிதர்கள் ஒருவரோடு ஒருவர் வாதம்-விவாதம் செய்தனர்—“இப்படியே செய்ய வேண்டும்”, “இல்லை, இப்படியல்ல”, “இது இப்படியே; வேறாகாது” என்று. அந்தச் சாஸ்திரச் சிந்தனையால் யாகசபை மேலும் அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்டதுபோல் விளங்கியது.
