भीष्म उवाच एष होषां समस्तानां तेजोबलपराक्रमै: । मध्ये तपन्निवाभाति ज्योतिषामिव भास्कर:
bhīṣma uvāca | eṣa hoṣāṃ samastānāṃ tejobalaparākramaiḥ | madhye tapann ivābhāti jyotiṣām iva bhāskaraḥ ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—குந்தியின் மகனே! இங்கு கூடியுள்ள அரசர்கள் அனைவரின் நடுவிலும் ஸ்ரீகிருஷ்ணர் தமது தேஜஸ், பலம், பராக்கிரமம் ஆகியவற்றால், கோள்நட்சத்திரங்களின் நடுவே உலகப் பாஸ்கரனான சூரியன் ஒளிர்வதுபோல் ஒளிர்கிறார். சூரியன் உதித்தவுடன் இருள் அகல்வதுபோலும், காற்றில்லா இடத்தில் காற்று அசைந்தவுடன் உயிர் வந்ததுபோல் தோன்றுவதுபோலும், கிருஷ்ணரின் சன்னிதி இந்த அரசசபையை மகிழ்வித்து ஒளியூட்டுகிறது. ஆகவே முன்னுரிமை மரியாதைக்கு உரியவர் அவரே.
