Samrāt-Lakṣaṇa and the Counsel to Check Jarāsandha (सम्राट्-लक्षणं जरासन्ध-प्रतिबाधा-परामर्शः)

तथा तु डिम्भकं श्रुत्वा हंस: परपुरंजय: । प्रपेदे यमुनामेव सो5पि तस्यां न्‍न्यमज्जत,डिम्भककी इस प्रकार मृत्यु हुई सुनकर शत्रु-नगरीको जीतनेवाला हंस भी भाईके शोकसे यमुनामें ही कूद पड़ा और उसीमें डूबकर मर गया

tathā tu ḍimbhakaṃ śrutvā haṃsaḥ parapuraṃjayaḥ | prapede yamunām eva so 'pi tasyāṃ nimajjata ||

டிம்பகனின் இவ்வாறு மரணத்தைச் செய்தி கேட்டதும், பகை நகரங்களை வென்ற ஹம்சனும் தம்பியின் துயரால் யமுனையில் பாய்ந்து அங்கேயே மூழ்கி இறந்தான்.
