धर्मरज उवाच अभिजातोऊसि राजेन्द्र पितुर्व॒त्तेन मेधया । अनुक्रोशेन चानेन सर्वभूतेषु भारत

Transliteration

dharmarāja uvāca | abhijāto 'si rājendra pitur vṛttena medhayā | anukrośena cānena sarvabhūteṣu bhārata ||

Translation

தர்மராஜன் கூறினான்—ஓ அரசேந்திரா, ஓ பரதவம்சத்தவனே! உன் நேர்மையான நடத்தை, அறிவுத்திறன், மேலும் எல்லா உயிர்களிடத்தும் நீ காட்டும் இக்கருணை ஆகியவற்றால் நீ உண்மையிலேயே உயர்குலப் பிறப்புடையவன்; நற்பிதாவின் வம்சத்திற்குத் தகுதியானவன் என நிரூபித்துள்ளாய்.
