अध्याय ९ — कर्णस्य प्रहारः, योधयुग्मनियोजनम्, शैनेय-कैकेययोर्युद्धविन्यासः
रथादाधिरथिरनूनं न्यपतत् सायकार्दित:
rathād ādhirathir anūnaṃ nyapatat sāyakārditaḥ
அம்புகளால் குத்தப்பட்டும் கிழிக்கப்பட்டும் இருந்த ஆதிரதி (கர்ணன்) நிச்சயமாகத் தேரிலிருந்து கீழே விழுந்தான்; உயிரற்றவனெனத் தோன்றினான்.
