दूसरेकी बायीं भुजा क्षुरोंद्वारा कवचके साथ कटकर भूमिपर गिर गयी। इस प्रकार किरीटधारी अर्जुनने शत्रुपक्षके सभी मुख्य-मुख्य योद्धाओंका संहार कर डाला ।। शरै: शरीरान्तकरै: सुघोरै- दौर्योधनं सैन्यमशेषमेव । वैकर्तनेनापि तथा55जिमध्ये सहस््रशो बाणगणा विसृष्टा:,उन्होंने शरीरका अन्त कर देनेवाले घोर बाणोंद्वारा दुर्योधनकी सारी सेनाका विध्वंस कर दिया। इसी प्रकार वैकर्तन कर्णने भी समरांगणमें सहस्रों बाणसमूहोंकी वर्षा की

உயிரை முடிவுக்குக் கொண்டுசெல்லும் மிகக் கொடிய அம்புகளால் கிரீடம் தரித்த அர்ஜுனன் துரியோதனனின் படையனைத்தையும் மீதமின்றி சிதைத்தான். அதேபோல் வைகர்த்தனன் கர்ணனும் போர்க்களத்தின் நடுவே ஆயிரக்கணக்கான அம்புக் கூட்டங்களை மழைபோல் பொழிந்தான்.
