तांस्तथाभिमुखान् वीरान् मित्रार्थे त्यक्तजीवितान् । क्षयं नयति राधेय: पञज्चालाछ्छतशो रणे
tāṁs tathābhimukhān vīrān mitrārthe tyaktajīvitān | kṣayaṁ nayati rādheyaḥ pañcālāñ chatśo raṇe ||
நண்பனுக்காக உயிரின் பற்றையும் துறந்து எதிரியின் முன் நின்று போராடிய அந்த வீர பாஞ்சாலர்களை ராதேயன் (கர்ணன்) போர்க்களத்தில் நூற்றுக்கணக்காக அழிவிற்கு இட்டுச் சென்றான்।
