तद् युद्धमासीत् सुमहद् घोररूपं परंतप । यादृशं न मया युद्ध दृष्टपूर्व विशाम्पते
tad yuddham āsīt sumahad ghorarūpaṃ paraṃtapa | yādṛśaṃ na mayā yuddha dṛṣṭapūrvaṃ viśāmpate ||
சஞ்சயன் கூறினான்—ஓ பரந்தபா! அந்தப் போர் அளவற்ற பெரிதாய், அச்சமூட்டும் வடிவமாய் மாறியது. ஓ மக்கள்தலைவா! இத்தகைய போரை நான் முன்பு ஒருபோதும் கண்டதில்லை.
संजय उवाच
