Dharma-rahasya Instruction: Vows, Truth, and Non-injury
हन्तास्म्यद्य रणे कर्ण स वा मां निहनिष्यति । संग्रामेण सुघोरेण सत्यमेतद् ब्रवीमि ते
hantāsmy adya raṇe karṇa sa vā māṁ nihaniṣyati | saṅgrāmeṇa sughoreṇa satyam etad bravīmi te ||
இன்று போர்க்களத்தில் நான் கர்ணனை நிச்சயமாகக் கொல்வேன்; அல்லது அவன் என்னைக் கொல்வான். மிகக் கொடியப் போரில் நம்மில் ஒருவன் வீழ்வது உறுதி—இதையே உனக்கு உண்மையாகச் சொல்கிறேன்.
