स्वप्स्यन्ति निहता: कर्ण शतशो5थ सहस््रश: । “कर्ण! जब ऐसे अपशकुन प्रकट हो रहे हैं तो निश्चय ही आज सैकड़ों और हजारों नरेश मारे जाकर रणभूमिमें शयन करेंगे
svapsyanti nihatāḥ karṇa śataśo ’tha sahasraśaḥ |
சஞ்சயன் கூறினான்—கர்ணா, இத்தகைய அபசகுனங்கள் வெளிப்படும் போது, இன்று நூற்றுக்கணக்கானும் ஆயிரக்கணக்கானும் அரசர்கள் போரில் வீழ்ந்து போர்க்களத்தில் நித்திரை கொள்வது உறுதி.
