कबन्ध॑ मेघसंकाशं भानुमावृत्य संस्थितम् | “कर्ण! वह देखो, रोंगटे खड़े कर देनेवाला भयदायक मेघसदृश महाघोर कबन्धाकार केतु नामक ग्रह सूर्यमण्डलको घेरकर खड़ा है
kabandhaṁ meghasaṅkāśaṁ bhānum āvṛtya saṁsthitam |
சஞ்சயன் கூறினான்—கர்ணா, பார்! மேகம்போல் கருமையாக, தலைற்ற உடல்போன்ற கபந்த வடிவில் அச்சமூட்டும் கேது சூரியமண்டலத்தை மூடியதுபோல் நின்றுள்ளது; இது பெரும் அனர்த்தத்தின் அறிகுறி.
